Mid-week departures are reliably cheaper than Friday-out, Sunday-back weekend patterns. If your dates are firm, booking two to six weeks ahead usually lands a fair price; if they are flexible, watch for the dips that show up on off-peak days.
Burbank (BUR) and Ontario (ONT) also serve Las Vegas and can beat LAX on fees and drive time. On such a short hop, the airport you choose can matter as much as the fare.
